Welcome Models!

In general, I don't normally pay male models for shoots. (Do to the nature of my work, Swords and Armor, I get lots of volunteers who will sign the model release and me let me shoot them for free. I do offer them 10-12 portfolio ready jpegs. (And provide all weapons and armor for the shoot - You will get some awesome pics!) Occasionally, I do need an extra buff male for some shoots. (By buff I mean visible six pack abs, solid pecks, and large biceps, triceps, solid gluts, and thick, if not muscular, legs.) The males I shoot don't need to be especially handsome, but they do need to be muscular. If you fall into this category, feel free to send me some recent pics. I generally pay male modes $25 -$75 per hour. Minimum of two hour shoot. (Salary based on skill, experience, professionalism, desirability and what, if any props or costumes you can bring to my shoot.) All models should be familiar with, and willing to the sign, the usual model release forms, before any shooting takes place.

Beyond pay shoots, I also do collaborative shoots. Unlike a private shoot, instead of $$ up front, I give the model I am shooting limited rights to my work, but also retain my rights to it. (So if model wants to use my images they can as they see fit.) Essentially we become co owners of the copyright. (A special model/copyright release from will be used as a contract and signed by both parties before any shooting takes place.) In general, I only engage in collaborative shoot that fit the theme of my flesh and steel fantasy style of photography.

Finally, I do glamour/vanity/personal photography. This category relates to people who want me to shoot them or something else, themes I would not otherwise choose to shoot. (Do to subject matter, appearance, time, etc, etc…Things like business, weddings, birthdays, bands, pets, personal private photos fall into this category.) For these types of shoots I charge $200 per hour of actual shoot time. (For every hour shooting, I will probably be spending 2-4 hours editing. I generally take about 500 shots per hour.) Free editing of this nature includes cropping, blemish removal, image clarification, skin smoothing, and colorizing techniques. It does not include enhanced backgrounds or special effects.) For this type of shoot I will provide 10-20 professionally finished jpegs for every hour we shoot, plus provide all raw jpgs to the model if desired. Actual prints may be ordered at an additional cost upon request. Models will not be asked to sign a release form, and will be given limited rights to all photos. (Mass market, commercial rights to use such photos are open to negotiation. Such as album covers for bands, and mass produced posters/prints, magazine and book covers.)
